Maintenance Depot
This model simulates the entire supply chain and highlights the negative impact that demand and supply variability has on operational and financial performance as well as the positive impact on all key performance metrics when switching from PUSH to PULL.
The objective is to see if by simply changing the rules how close can we get to the perfect world results when there was no variability.

Gas Station
At Goldratt Research Labs we believe small changes can unlock BIG results.
We collaborate with individuals and organizations to discover and release their inherent potential through small changes that are simple, fast and low risk.
Complexity and uncertainty faced by organizations and individuals make it very difficult to decide which small changes will bring the BIGGEST results.
We develop decision support and simulation tools that help our customers make better, faster decisions and predict the impact of their decisions and changes in the environment.
Goldratt Gas Station Simulation is a simple simulation that illustrates how difficult it is to predict the impact of decisions on an interdependent system.
Project Management
Goldratt Project Management Simulation is a dynamic simulation model that was designed to answer three simple but important questions:
- What will likely be our completion date, due date and financial performance for a portfolio of programs if we keep using traditional project management rules for planning and execution?
- How much better can we do if we are willing to change the rules to Theory of Constraints’ Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) rules?
- What CCPM rules will provide with the simplest, fastest and lowest risk way to achieve the best operational and financial results?
The simulation models the planning and execution of a Portfolio of Programs. Each Program can consist of one or more Projects. Each Project consists of one or more Phases. Resources and duration estimates used to calculates start and end dates according to project network dependencies are assigned at a phase level.
The objective is to see which of the three CCPM Work Release mechanisms gives the best overall results in both operational and financial performance.

Managing Flow
The Goldratt Managing Flow Simulation is a customizable simulation model that allows you to explore the impact of Theory of Constraints (TOC) planning, execution and continuous improvement rules will have on the performance on various types of environments.
You can choose between the following types of environments: Operations, Projects, Services, Maintenance and Back Office.
For each of these, there are a number of pre-configured scenarios that you can upload to see how the simulation works. You can also create your own scenario by modifying one of the default scenarios from our library or creating a new one from scratch. Any custom scenarios can be saved, distributed and re-loaded back into the model.
The simulation model has a dashboard that shows various key performance indicators so you can see the impact of changes in rules like batching or multitasking and/or performance parameters such as cycle time variability. In the advanced view you can do scenario comparisons and sensitivity analysis experiments.
